What a bummer. I hate corporate BS like that. They should take a more humanistic approach towards your situation. As long as you're productive, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to have flexible hours at a job (other than this silly corporate desire to dominate employees' lives).
Hang in there, Dan. I'm absolutely certain that your perfect opportunity is just around the corner, you just don't know it yet.
I agree; that sucks that they are jerking your chain. As long as you are there during core hours...why should they care? obviously they care more about jamming everyone into a box than then do about a happy and productive employee.
