Who You Are - Self-Assessment, etc.

Today, while looking through some career assessment documents I'd worked on a few years back, I found some characteristics from my Myers-Briggs Type Indicator profile (I'm an ENFJ, by the way):

  • Natural motivator even when people initially don't want to do something
  • Outwardly focused toward others
  • Highly skilled in understanding others' needs and motivations
  • Gift for imagination and inspiration
  • Expresses himself in organized, effective way that allows him to make his imaginative ventures become reality
  • Identifies what the group needs to help it reach its goal
  • Looked to for leadership and decisiveness in a supportive climate
  • Sincerity and concern are driving force and motivation
  • Highly articulate, with excellent social skills and a quick sense of humor
  • Sizes up a situation intuitively and, in a very caring and concerned way, says just the right thing
  • Communicates organization's values
  • Brings strong ideals of how organizations should treat people
  • Enjoys leading and facilitating teams
  • Encourages cooperation
  • Likes to bring matters to fruitful conclusions
  • Leads through personal enthusiasm
  • Takes a participative stance in managing people and projects
  • Responsive to followers' needs
  • Challenges the organization to make actions congruent with values
  • Inspires change
The MBTI is just one of a number of ways that you can learn more about yourself.

What about you?
